So, I don't know who on my reading list will possibly benefit from this, but after finally doing this last night I have to say - if you are building your own lightsaber, putting cellophane wrap in the blade is 100% essential. Do not skip this step. I mean, your saber will still turn on without the wrap, but any kind of light at all will make the blade look washed out and uneven.
