Prepare boneless, skinless chicken pieces according to directions.

Layer finished tandoori chicken, lettuce, tomato, and 1 tablespoon plain yogurt between two slices of naan.

ENJOY.

I'm feeling a bit feverish tonight. I'm drinking extra water right now, but when I get home I'm going to take some Advil and maybe some echinacea, and scarf down the rest of the curry-pepper-steak I made this morning, and hope it goes away.

The curry-pepper-steak turned out really well, btw. I marinated some cubed steak in soy sauce, one teaspoon of salt, one teaspoon of garlic power, and about half a teaspoon of black pepper overnight, and then stir-fried it with bell pepper, onion, and celery this morning. I added one teaspoon of curry to a conventional stir-fry sauce seasoning packet, and voila. I am soooo sick of the rubbery, oversalted, overly-cornstarched stuff that they sell at the Chinese restaurant down the road. Seriously, nothing that I intend to put in my mouth should smell like GASOLINE when I take it out of the microwave. *shudders.*

BTW, if you're in the Denton area, GO VOTE THIS WEEKEND. I am still registered in that district, so I'll do it on Sunday.

Also in "Dallas is the biggest small town in the USA" news, I ran into [livejournal.com profile] jamesovei in the deli across the street. ^_^ Congrats on the new job!

I'd like to make my apologies to [livejournal.com profile] dagulfsghost and anyone else who might have been expecting me up at the club tonight, but I'm just too tired. I think I'm just going to go home and collapse. But I'm sure I'll see some of you at Scarborough tomorrow. Skipping the club tonight will mean that I have more cash for beer and fish n' chips. And maybe some froofy soaps from Ye Olde Soapmaker's booth.

I have a question though, one that has been plauging me all day...what is the difference between chocolate muffins and chocolate cupcakes, really? 0_o Other than the fact that one typically has frosting, and the other does not. But there's no law against frosting muffins, is there? *contemplates putting cream cheese or buttercream frosting on blueberry muffins.*

Anyhoo, I'll see you all at the renfaire tomorrow. All of you who are going, anyway. Cheers.

Well, the cake was ambrosial. Still, I'm glad I taste-tested it a full hour before I had to start the drive to work. Because...from the way it tastes, I'm not quite sure that all of the alcohol baked off. As the new ad campaign here in Dallas takes great pains to remind us - "Buzzed driving is drunk driving."

I get a half-day off tomorrow. Which may or may not mean nachos.

Completely on a whim, I decided to bake a cake with rum in it.

;>_>

Soooo...I guess we'll see how this turns out.

LATER...

MOM [looking in cabinet] "Why is the rum gone?"

Some folks here are up in arms about the McDonald's discontinuation of the McRib sandwich. I don't like McDonalds to start with, but it figures that they'd try and get rid of their only decent sandwich. Click here if you want to save to McRib.

Yes, I take on all causes. ^_^ *puts on Rambo facepaint, headband.*

Speaking of food, I have come to the conclusion that ground turkey just doesn't make very good porcupines. So I used lean beef instead. The recipe again, as follows = 1 lb ground beef, 1 cup cooked rice, 2 cans of diced tomatoes. Mix rice and beef, form meatballs, brown on the outsides over medium-high head, add tomatoes. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium. Cook for about 15 more minutes. My grandfather made this when he was around, and it sure is tasty.

More relevant posts later, as my brain wakes up. Which may or may not happen, considering that I have Texas Government class in ten minutes.
