I finally get ADHD meds yay~
Aug. 4th, 2022 07:56 pmWell my shrink has finally decided that I do indeed need ADHD meds, to which I can only say YAY, FINALLY.
Though the OCD has been the squeakier wheel at a lot of points, looking back I have to say that the ADHD has had more of an adverse effect on my life (mostly in the form of executive dysfunction.)
Every ADHD person I know who has been on them has been like "IS THIS WHAT IT'S LIKE TO TRULY BE ABLE TO FUNCTION?" and yet ADHD patients who ask for them outright are treated like they're engaging in drug-seeking behavior.
Like I had to go through a whole year of "let's give the antidepressents enough time to see if they work" before I could ADHD meds finally. Like I am sure that my doctor is following some sort of prime directive but yay finally, this is a big deal.
In other news, "Into The Narrowdark" by Tad Williams dropped, and it's the best one in his most recent series so far.
Now to see how soon I can get the Monkey Pox Vaccine.
