I've been trying to think of a post that sums up what has been going on this week. I've been spamming my instagram with stuff trying to signal boost the highlights:
- Cops have been murdering black people with impunity, and the protests started as a response to police brutality and extrajudicial killings, most recently the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
- There have been many reports on the ground that the protests have been infiltrated by white agitators, many of whom have been traced to white supremacist organizations. Peaceful protesters have been confronting vandals and asking them to stop.
- The police themselves are rioting and committing acts of violence and brutality in response to the demand to hold them accountable for their actions. It's been a known fact for years that they have also been infiltrated by white supremacist orgs. Police have been attacking peaceful protesters, and in many cases attacking journalists, attacking innocent bystanders and even terrorizing whole neighborhoods.
- Trump has been actively pouring fuel on the fire. Then this happened:

I don't know where we're going to end up after all of this. I don't know what will happen over the next week, much less the next six months. But one thing is certain. Things have to change in this country, and Trump needs to go. Let's vote all the ratfuckers out. Defund the police. Stand with the oppressed. Black lives matter. Justice for George Floyd and all other victims of police brutality and state-sanctioned racism and terror.

If you go to the protests, wear a mask. Practice social distancing because Corona is still very much a thing right now. Write numbers to your lawyer/someone you can contact on your arm in sharpie. Stay hydrated. Have an exit strategy. If you see shady shit going down like bad faith agitators agitating, record that shady shit and post it all over social media. We are the eyes and ears of our communities, and the whole world is watching.
