Udemy is having its yearly discount sale, so I signed up for some PHP and Wordpress development courses. Why PHP and Wordpress? Because Wordpress is still very much a hot commodity, and aside from learning how one of the top blogging platforms still in use is coded and managed, I might also be able to get some marketable skills. So there's that.
I still want to learn enough Perl to be able to code for Dreamwidth/LJ clones as well, particularly so I can fix the issue with the Generator theme not loading usernames or userpics on my Reading page when I try to use it. Oh well.
Woo, my first PHP Hello World program!
In other news - is anyone else noticing raclette cheese popping up everywhere now? Is this like the new big foodie trend of this year? Not that I'm complaining. Raclette grilled cheese sandwiches are amazing.
