*Throws this whole week in the trash*

So uh, yeah.

There was a moment this week when the whole Onion front page was basically this.

It's all becoming harder and harder to process. Especially the part where we don't really do anything to stop the next one.

It's been weird seeing Americans realize en masse that y'all don't have democracy and the cops are bad, actually. But I feel like this realization lasts a news cycle and then everyone forgets.

Pretty much the truth, tbh.

It's like watching a kid stick a fork into a light socket, get a shock, realize that this is a bad idea, and then an hour later do it again.

I'm gonna keep hitting bad ideas with wrenches until fascism falls down

The learned helplessness is a huge problem, but being part of the DSA is doing good things for my brain, even if I am not a very powerful or efficient organizer. I may not be able to march, make things other than simple signs, or throw water balloons full of red paint at cops, no. But I can sign things, call congress-critters, and I am going to start writing letters to the editor of local papers.

I'm going to keep fighting back, because learned helplessness is for people who learn lessons from failure other than "hit it again".
