August really wasn't a good month for me, for a lot of reasons. I'm sorry for dropping off the map.

I'm still dealing with a lot of stuff. But the good news is, months of overtime paid off, and I was able to pay my insurance deductible and get the fibroid embolization procedure done.

EDIT: I was certain I'd mentioned this in a previous post, but I can't find it now. I had another ultrasound back in June, and rather than doing a full hysterectomy, which would have involved hospitalization and several weeks of downtime during a pandemic, my gynecologist recommended Uterine Fibroid Embolization with the idea that it might resolve the issues with my fibroids - and if it didn't, it would at least shrink the fibroids, making any eventual hysterectomy that much easier. The whole procedure took a couple hours, and I'm recovering at home.

I'm taking a week off to recover, and I'm on a lot of meds right now.

Here's hoping this does the trick, otherwise I will have to get a full hysterectomy at some point.

Oh! I thought you were having the full hysterectomy! So much for my reading comprehension, I guess. I am hopeful that the fibroids go the fuck away, tho.
