Hmm, I feel like I overall agree with the argument, but his main example is from a really shit movie where they tried to make the Big Bad a complex, layered character and utterly failed. Also to make all the heroes antiheroic. Red Skull would be a much better example imo.
Yeah, I wasn't such a fan of Civil War either. (Also the guy who made the video has his own Slender Man series, and Slender man is a perfect example of the subject, being more of an idea or a force of nature.)
