I think the big thing that's going to be hard is building up a userbase. That's why Facebook and Twitter get away with what they can get away with - they have such a massive userbase that you're almost
obliged
to use them nowadays. :/

So far, it reminds me a lot of Google Reader. Which is great, because I missed Google Reader a bunch.
