Sorta Caprese Waffles (recipe inspired by Torta Caprese.)
1 cup almond flour
1 pinch salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
3 eggs
¼ cup sugar
¼ cup flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon Strega or some kind of liquor
5 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon cocoa powder? (still figuring that part out.)
I used elderflower liquor this morning because Specs is no longer carrying Strega, WTF?
I made these because I was looking up waffle recipes that used almond flour and they were all like CHAD'S ALPHA DUDE SUGAR FREE FAT FREE PRE WORKOUT WAFFLES and I was like "HELL NO, NOT ON MY WATCH."
