Latest verdict from the doctor.

My anemia is currently under control. I need to get my weight under control. They keep recommending weight loss surgery, I keep politely declining in favor of seeing if my weight will basically correct itself once I am healed enough to exercise more/more frequently.

That said, we're getting to the point where I basically won't be able to avoid getting a hysterectomy any more because my fibroids are crowding my other organs too much. It's like a rigid mass on the left side of my abdomen and it's pressing into my lower back and causing all sorts of problems.

But the nurse practitioners kept fidgeting around with their masks and pulling them down under their noses. And like...seriously? SERIOUSLY?

Gee, I sure hope I don't have the rona from going to the doctor.

Anyway, I've been in a fog most of the day since I got off work.

I've started to try to tear myself away from current events for a while to read old Dungeons and Dragons tie-in novels. And now I want to play D&D like I used to back in the old days.

D&D has been saving my sanity!

Yay anemia under control, blah to everything else.

Weight loss surgery is dangerous, and of they cared about your weight as an actual marker of health they really should be sending you to a nutritionist or prescribing anti-androgens before they even think of recommending that. I get that a lot of doctors have kickbacks from the surgeons they refer to, but mother of fuck! Weight loss surgery is one of the riskiest surgeries there is, and it is the riskiest elective surgery by far. Fuck those nurses.
