I mean I could explain how I was a massive CATS fan as a kid and always wanted to see it and then one Christmas my parents gifted me with the tickets but by then I was a teenager and hadn't mentioned CATS for, like, eight whole years and I was so flabbergasted I didn't even think of saying thank you, and then we went and saw the musical and I DON'T REMEMBER A THING.
But I'm actually commenting to tell you that I completely LOST IT around the 39-minute mark where Judy Dench's long-ass monologue goes on forever and is overlaid with footage of clock hands, withering flowers, and the skeleton from Raiders of the Lost Ark. I was laughing so hard I CRIED.
