Wikipedia founder launching own social media platform:
"Wikipedia's Jimmy Wales has launched an alternative to Facebook and Twitter. The platform wants to keep the users from becoming the product."
Wow. I guess we'll see what comes of this.

I think the big thing that's going to be hard is building up a userbase. That's why Facebook and Twitter get away with what they can get away with - they have such a massive userbase that you're almost
obliged
to use them nowadays. :/
