That ... is not what I said. I told you about cognitive reframing in a different conversation about Jenn, and thenfigured you knew what the hell I was talking about. I thought you had a problem with modifying how you felt about the events, not that you had fundamentally misunderstood my position.

You don't use cognitive reframing to change the facts of memories, you just change your interpretation of people's actions. You mom wasn't evil, she was bad with social skills and projecting a lot of her own stuff onto you. You weren't evil, you were being forced to deal with rejection sensitive dysphoria and horrible neurotypical people thus constantly being overstimulated into having meltdowns, which are sometimes violent. Those reframing readings of your past don't change the fact that they happened or that they were horrible at the time, but they allow you to forgive yourself or other people and move past shame and behavioral cycles that you have been stuck in.
